Local and regional cooperation makes the IB World School at Felix-Klein-Gymnasium possible.

Local and regional cooperation with Felix-Klein-Gymnasium
The idea to establish an international school in our town – with its famous university, its five Max Planck Institutes, further research institutions and many companies operating world-wide – was born when it became obvious that more and more students were arriving here with their parents, but without the necessary skills of German to cope successfully in the national school system. Felix-Klein-Gymnasium was chosen for this undertaking because of its long-standing, successful involvement in bilingual teaching.
With the help of very committed parents and the SüdniedersachsenStiftung, several local and regional companies joined forces with Göttingen University, the Max Planck Institutes and the City of Göttingen to finance and support the IB Diploma Programme at Felix-Klein-Gymnasium in every possible way. These partners worked out and signed an agreement in support of the school to be established. An advisory board meets at regular intervals to monitor and assist the progress of this project.
